چکیده

Description Logic Programs (DLP) have been described as a description logic (DL) that is in the “expressive intersection” of DL and datalog. This is a very weak guideline for defining DLP in a way that can be claimed to be optimal or maximal in any sense. Moreover, other DL fragments such as EL and Horn-SHIQ have also been “expressed” using datalog. Is DLP just one out of many equal DLs in this “expressive intersection”? This paper attempts to clarify these issues by characterising DLP with various design principles that clearly distinguish it from other approaches. A consequent application of the introduced principles leads to the definition of a significantly larger variant of DLP which we conjecture to be maximal in a concrete sense. A preliminary report on the proof of this maximality is provided. While DLP is used as a concrete (and remarkably complex) example in this paper, we argue that similar approaches can be applied to find canonical definitions for other fragments of logical languages.

Assessment and evaluation of patient doses in adult common CT examinations towards establishing national diagnostic reference levels

Background: Patient radiation doses from computed tomography (CT) are increasing due to the number of CT examinations performed every day. The aim of this study was assess and evaluate patient radiation doses for adult’s common CT examinations to derive local diagnostic guidance levels for common CT examinations. Materials and Methods: Volume and weighted computed tomography dose index (C...

Effects of Different Levels of Dried Lemon (Citrus aurantifulia) Pulpon Performance, Carcass Traits, Blood Biochemical and Immunity Parameters of Broilers

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of different levels of dried lemon pulp (DLP) on performance, carcass traits, blood biochemical and immunity parameters of broilers. In this experiment 240 of broilers (Ross-308) were used in a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replicates (with 20 birds in each replicate) from 1 to 42 days. Experimental diets included: 1) ...

Dose Assessment in Computed Tomography Examination and Establishment of Local Diagnostic Reference Levels in Mazandaran, Iran

Background: Medical X-rays are the largest man-made source of public exposure to ionizing radiation. While the benefits of Computed Tomography (CT) are well known in accurate diagnosis, those benefits are not risk-free. CT is a device with higher patient dose in comparison with other conventional radiation procedures. Objective: This study is aimed at evaluating radiation dose to patients from ...
